Network Services-LAN/WAN design, implementation and support services
Having the right network service provider makes all the difference in the world. ProfitStars® provide a right service provider with Matrix Network Services®. These services are fully customized to support each financial institution’s LAN/WAN-based systems and operational infrastructure. These services provide financial institutions with customized, cost-effective networks that seamlessly accommodate dynamic business environments. “A Matrix representative calls us on a regular basis to make sure everything is going smoothly.” More than likely, the network is going smoothly, thanks to the Matrix’s Proactive Technical Monitoring and Reporting (PTMR) service. Matrix Network Services has proven to be the right network service provider.
Here is an example of how ProfitStars partnered with one client to help them meet their strategic goals:
“Our philosophy is that technology is critical to meeting our strategic goals,” explains one SVP/COO. “But first we needed to have a very clear technology road map and lay down a solid foundation for growth.” The Matrix Network Services enabled the bank to continue working with ProfitStars as a one-source provider, building the entire network infrastructure to support its new operations center and implementing technologies such as Cisco IP Telephony and ATMs over WAN.
“Our entire technology foundation was provided by Matrix,” says the SVP/COO. “They provided the complete road map for our technology migration.” Switching its ATM network from dial-up lines to a wide area network (WAN) has greatly improved the bank’s ability to monitor and support the ATMs. In addition, ATM performance has improved and the bank is looking at taking advantage of the faster processing speeds to offer services such as remote check capture with CAR/LAR at ATMs. “We’re looking at ways to expand our ATM functionality within the next 12 months,” notes the bank.
Matrix also was instrumental in moving the bank to a thin-client environment. In addition to simplifying upgrades by enabling staff to upload changes at three servers rather than individual workstations, the thin-client configuration allows tellers to access customer information at the front line, dramatically improving customer service.
